+ I'm in New York!
+ I have been to so many museums in the past week! Museums are cool!
ummm... I have done no math in the past week.
- Doing math was in my plan for that time.
+ I saw rocks (or rather minerals) in naturally occurring math shapes at a museum.
+ I have interacted (possibly non-awkwardly) with several new people.
- It was maybe easier to be non-awkward because I do not plan to ever see them again.
++ I have also visited with people I actually know!
+ They gave me clean towels and stuff. Not to take home.
+ And food.

It is funny being a Jessie's apartment directly after [livejournal.com profile] shaleside's. I notice the ways in which I am conditioned to act around her (Jessie), which are not the usual ways. Mostly she doesn't say nice things, and I interpret the lack of nice things to be quite normal, and occasional neutral things to be nice and her being glad I'm here. This is the right interpretation, but it's not one that I really use with many people I've met since high school. Maybe this one guy at NU, but it was hard to tell if it was correct then; it's odd to be so certain. And Mike, for awhile.

+ Museums are cool! I could elaborate on this point, but I'm fairly sure it wouldn't make any sense.
? The Smithsonian searches your bags and has you walk through a metal detector, but I don't really believe that the metal detectors are on, because I never heard one beep. Also the folks looking in bags seem not that interested in knowing what's in them, which is a little contrary to the point.
- The rain hated us last night; it stopped as Jessie's, ah, romantic interest and I were running down the stairs to play in it.
- Lala's sick and being an unkind person to [livejournal.com profile] hazelsteapot and I feel sad for them both.
