Like yesterday. It was kind of disorienting-- I went to the Dyke March, where I saw people who I knew, and then to two separate parties in the evening. Astounding! (All events were related to the big Pride Parade today; this I didn't go to because I could dance instead and also it is drunken and unappetizingly corporate-sponsored and produced.)
And the second party reminded me of Carleton, and there was a backrub chain for awhile and fireworks on the beach. Like, big fireworks that zoom up into the air and then explode in a sphere! And the police came and told us to leave the beach and then drove away again, immediately. After which one guy went skinnydipping; I was impressed that he was willing to be the Only One. (Incidentally, he is moving to Madison to work at your company,

Eventually we went back inside and had a very small (3 people; there were a sad number of people at the party who seemed to believe touching other people was "cultish") puppy pile, and even more eventually Cedar and I brought home the other part of the puppy pile for cuddle-sleeping. It was nice.
So, I had a happy queer social life for a day.
