back: somewhat better

smartness: not improved. I missed my own office hours today, or all but a few minutes of them. The student who came patiently waited and didn't seem upset, but I feel bad. Also, stupid.

talk in class: understood by apparently everyone but the prof. um? ok.

I've had that sense of steeling myself for an awkward situation for awhile now, but it should be better after/ at the contra, I think. What may be awkward: the contra-dancing boy I "spent some time with" Friday is back together with his (also contra-dancing) girlfriend. Katie would say this need not be awkward, but she says that a lot. But I like getting these things over with, and over with it will soon be.

I still need a life plan with regard to math.
