(no subject)

I had an excellent day today. Grading did not even bring me down.

And I know that's because I'm flying on seeing Mike Friday night, and it's pretty cool. What happened was... pretty much exactly what I would have wanted, actually. There was some stress for me about whether it was awkward for Katie; I think it wasn't but I'm not sure. And some grief and missing him, both while he was actually around and now. But mostly it was just fun, and then in the middle of the night one of those lovely times that you hold to yourself when things start to feel sad and it makes you feel loved.

And I guess besides being happy (okay, maybe not totally besides), I'm reacting to people in a more open and loving way, and that feels good too.

And we have vegan cream cheese in the fridge, brought home from the grading "party". Mmm, cream cheese.
