Am I supposed to press the water out of my grated potato before I make hashbrowns with it? Or is there just some kind of potato that works better than others?
Also it would be kind of awesome to have a frying pan that wasn't all covered in burned on food on the sides. (Not my fault! It's a hand me down.)
The students who told me they were coming to my office hours today didn't show. Just as I was ready to give up, some other kid came looking for his quiz and although I didn't have it, we went over all the problems on a clean copy. So at least it wasn't a total waste of time.
But earlier today math went and made me cry. While some other kids and I were working on a problem; now they probably think I'm mad at them, but I didn't think I could explain this afternoon without crying more. Dumb math. Then I skipped class and read Anansi Boys in the library, because class was going to be really pointless, given how I felt about math at the time, and also I needed to be in decent shape for office hours. Anansi Boys was good, but I kept worrying about the time, because I hadn't brought my watch when I fled the math building. And because what with Standard Time I wasn't going to know 5:00 was approaching by the darkness.
Silly math drama; go away!
I love Differential Geometry class, though, every day he takes something people are constantly talking about it and I am constantly not understanding, and explains it with pictures. And a definition. Sometimes even a theorem or two. Awesome! Also, I think he's forgotten he's supposed to assign homework. Or is just waiting until he's graded the first set? Either way, it's very relaxing and I love it. Too bad he's not teaching the next quarter.
