My project for this evening is to sew a Klein bottle that unzips into two mobius strips. I am announcing this so I get off the computer and do it. Woo! (I didn't realize this was possible, but I was talking to the math kids from U of C who contra dance and Katie and... um... his name starts with an M? both seemed very sure. I figured if they both knew how to do it, I should be able to figure it out. And I could!)

And a kid came to my office hour today! Amazing! She was very competent at math (I guess it's the motivated students who come to office hours) so I didn't get to explain that S(fg) != Sf + Sg. (Um, where you read the S's as integral signs.) But even so.

And there's an entertaining vaguely mathy flash game at http://woodgears.ca/eyeball where you get to try to find the incenter (is that right?) of a triangle, among other things.

Math! I'm liking it.
