I'm perturbed about comps. I got tests in the mail today to study from, and there's so much calculus! Gross! Also they still haven't announced when the test will be; evidently they will announce this on April 3rd. Whatever. My paranoid delusion is that I will be out of town when the test is given. Probably not.

I visited U Washington over break. People were friendly, and the department seemed good. (It was their break too, so I didn't actually meet too many people. I am shy enough to not have minded.) The city seemed big, but not impossible to live in. There was lots of vegan food, even though I wussed out on going to the tofu-ery that Mike sent me to. And I got to see [livejournal.com profile] shaleside and her friend Kindra. I also got to go to the science museum and stare at an awesome albino corn snake.

I have a next-door-neighbor. So far he's loud and there's an exercise bench in the hall. Scary.

And last night I went to a contra with [livejournal.com profile] hazelsteapot, which was nice. Not the favorite activity of my moderately-fucked-up shoulders, but very very fun. I danced with several women who said I was good at swinging, which made me happy, and with a taxi driver from Decorah (Iowa) who I really liked, and who was lovely at knowing what was going on so well that I could occasionally forget, and with another guy who offered to let me be the gent since I kept trying to go into swinging that way, though I suspected swinging as a gent was the hard-on-my-shoulders activity, so I didn't take him up on it. Plus in that dance being the lady meant I got to flirt with all the other ladies, and who could turn that down?

My plants lived through their week and a half of neglect. The strawberry begonia and its babies have even grown quite a bit.

If I don't leave my room now, I won't get out before class tomorrow, so that's it.
