+ have written three typed pages of notes for comps talk
- those three typed pages are almost all background
+ but I almost understand the not-background material
- which does not help me see how to put it into an hour long talk. aside from by leaving out anything resembling a proof or intermediate step
+ this does mean that if I don't understand the details of a proof, it will not matter at all
+ also took a shower
+ and get to go to dance, since I did work on comps
- tired. and drained
+ there were maraschino cherries at dinner
+ and the Tu B'Shavat seder was wonderful

+ also Rabbi Shosh gave me a ride to the Cities afterward, so I didn't have to leave early to catch my bus
